In designing courses Rough House works closely with the client, always bearing in mind their time and budget. The courses can be any mix of print, TV and radio and are fully portable. In general, these are our most requested and popular courses:

The chief aim of this course is to build confidence, so that by the end the trainee has the ability to recognise the journalist's agenda and the means to promote his or her own agenda. The course is aimed at board members or very senior executives who - because of their position - will inevitably face requests for interviews.

(detailed schedule below)
As with the individual course, the aim is to show trainees how to prepare for interviews, take control of the agenda and deliver key messages. The process of feedback and analysis allows Rough House to identify those amongst the group who are capable of being fielded in potentially difficult situations, and those who should probably be reserved for less demanding encounters. The course is designed for senior managers and spokespeople.

This course is offered as a stand-alone or for incorporation into existing events such as conferences or seminars. An introduction to the media, its aim is to show how journalists approach a story and the best ways of handling inquiries. For managers and executives who have occasional contact with the media.

A thorough introduction to dealing with the media, whether print, radio or television. The course is designed to give confidence in those with little previous experience of the media who now face increased contact. For senior managers and spokespeople.

Intensive training for a specific event or a range of potential crisis scenarios. For board-level directors, senior executives and spokespeople likely to be fielded in high-pressure situations.

A course aimed a boosting confidence and presentation skills in English, mainly for internal audiences, but also in front of conferences, clients, government committees and analysts. Aimed at Board-level executives and senior managers.
